  I attended this agency on the weekend with my insurance papers and was advised that in order to make the changes I wanted to make to my insurance I would need to bring in my plates as well. I work till six on weekdays so I rushed to get to the agency before they closed at 7, this time with my papers and the plates in hand. There were 2 employees working, one remained in an office at the back and did not come out while the other employee finished with the clients she was assisting. When I was finally invited to sit down, I was given the distinct impression that the agent had absolutely zero desire to assist me, and in fact it seemed she was looking hard for reasons NOT to assist me. I was told I needed a void cheque and when I assured her that my banking information wasnt changing the agent began going on about some new program and that she "may or may not" be able to process my insurance so I took my papers and plates and left. Strangely enough I drove two blocks up the road to another agency (Sussex at Superstore) and had zero difficulty having my insurance changes made, still without having a void cheque on my person. The agent at Sussex simply looked it up which is something the Kirby agent wouldn't even attempt to do, Hey - I also work in the service industry and get that when your nearing the end of the day you're ready to go home- but as a client, being treated like an inconvenience is insulting and embarrassing. I have a total of 3 vehicles in my household and can guarantee that we will not be returning to Kirby Insurance based on the treatment I received this evening.
